Double-entry accounting · Guyana & the Caribbean

Every number
has two sides.

Benab Invoices is an accounting platform, not an invoice generator. Invoices, bills, bank reconciliation and period close all post to a real general ledger — one your accountant can open, audit and sign off.

Moving off QuickBooks Online? The migration is built in.

What Benab will not let you do

Any tool can add a number. An accounting system is defined by what it refuses. These are the things Benab stops.

  • Entry rejected

    Debits 1,240.00 · Credits 1,150.00 · Out by 90.00.

A journal entry that does not balance is never written.

  • Period closed

FY2025 was locked on 31 Mar 2026 by an administrator.

Post to an open period, or record an authorised reversal.

  • Delete blocked

INV-0987 is posted to the general ledger.

Posted documents are reversed, never erased.

  • Sign-in incomplete

    Password accepted. Second factor required.

Two-factor is on by default, not an upgrade.

Immutable audit log
Gives you

A dated, attributed record of every action taken in your books.

Retires

Disputed history, and 'nobody knows who changed it'.

Period locking
Gives you

A hard line under a closed year that only an authorised reversal crosses.

Retires

Silent edits to figures you already filed on.

Per-tenant encryption
Gives you

Customer, vendor and banking details encrypted at rest with AES-256-GCM.

Retires

One database read exposing every company at once.

What you do, and what the ledger does

Every action on the left writes the entry on the right. Nothing posts twice, and nothing posts silently.

It ties, or it tells you where it does not

The trial balance is the check before the lock. Both columns come off the same ledger, so agreement is a fact rather than a claim.
